It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Oscar Messias kicked off to start the match. Murillo Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Messias, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Murillo Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Vieira in the 6th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Messias in the 8th minute of play forced Ihum's goalkeeper Murillo Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Murillo Carneiro came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Ibrahy's Oscar Messias. But to his dismay, Oscar Messias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 15th minute, Adriano Carneiro sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ibrahy's Michel Moraes didn't even have to move. Armando Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Oscar Messias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Murillo Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Vieira in the 25th minute of the match. Murillo Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Vieira in the 35th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ihum's zone, Oscar Messias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Murillo Carneiro came out of the goal and Oscar Messias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Armando Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Oscar Messias ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Murillo Carneiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 48th minute, Oscar Messias made a precise shot to the right of Murillo Carneiro. Ihum's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adriano Carneiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute, Adriano Carneiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ihum fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 63rd minute Oscar Messias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murillo Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute, Ibrahy's Oscar Messias ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Murillo Carneiro. Murillo Carneiro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. After a rather tough play, Ihum's Valdomiro Duarte got a free kick in the 70th minute. Murillo Carneiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armando Vieira in the 73rd minute. If Doriva Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 84 minutes, Armando Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibrahy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Vieira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Simão Quintal during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ibrahy's Simão Quintal got a free kick in the 86th minute. Murillo Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simão Quintal in the 89th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, Ihum's goalkeeper Murillo Carneiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armando Vieira. Ihum's Murillo Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Messias in the 92nd minute of play. Oscar Messias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Murillo Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th play minute Armando Vieira came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Murillo Carneiro. 1-5. 100 minutes into the game, Adriano Carneiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-5. Michel Moraes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Ibrahy supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ibrahy would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
