Spectators: 7235 (Terracing: 5428, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 143) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Flavinho Cavalcante made the kick off which started today's match. 6 minutes into the game, Flavinho Cavalcante lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Sidney Pombal. In the 9th minute Flavinho Cavalcante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidney Pombal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Recordacao's Ezequiel Rossi got a free kick in the 11th minute. Sidney Pombal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavinho Cavalcante in the 25th minute of the match. Roberto Cordeiro struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Pedrão Sá didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Recordacao. Roberto Cordeiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedrão Sá. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roberto Cordeiro ran back to his position shaking his head. When Edu Gonçalves came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Recordacao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edu Gonçalves couldn't finish the play. Pedrão Sá didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roberto Cordeiro went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 46th minute, Roberto Cordeiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Recordacao fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roberto Cordeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Roberto Cordeiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedrão Sá. Os Mal Falado's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roberto Cordeiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. After 59 minutes Os Mal Falado's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Roberto Cordeiro who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Recordacao's corner Wágner Nascimento fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pedrão Sá quite easily take care of the ball. When Oswaldo Linhares fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Os Mal Falado's protests and gave Oswaldo Linhares a yellow card for diving instead. Tomé Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Os Mal Falado's goalkeeper Pedrão Sá, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sidney Pombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adilson Damião in the 69th minute of play. When Roberto Cordeiro came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Recordacao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roberto Cordeiro couldn't finish the play. After 76 minutes, Roberto Cordeiro made it 1-6 with a short kick to the right side. Os Mal Falado's Pedrão Sá tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 79 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Rossi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Recordacao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Os Mal Falado the free kick. After 80 played minutes Recordacao got a freekick which was hit by Ezequiel Rossi. Roberto Cordeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roberto Cordeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedrão Sá read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Pedrão Sá showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wágner Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Edu Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Os Mal Falado fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Recordacao were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
