Passaros's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodolfo de Sena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Durval Proença breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rômulo Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Durval Proença tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Augusto Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Secco having to interfere. Raúl Hoffmann kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Marcelo Donato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 32 played minutes, Passaros's Glauco Dantas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Durval Proença came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Passaros reached it. Rodolfo de Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Natalio Sanson hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodolfo de Sena to make the kick off. Washington Gomes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 63 played minutes Passaros got a freekick which was hit by Raúl Hoffmann. Augusto Arce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodolfo de Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durval Proença having to interfere. Felipe Secco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Arce in the 86th minute of play. Natalio Sanson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
