After 19 played minutes UioFC got a freekick which was hit by Breno Araújo. 24 minutes into the game, Edvaldo Fontes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Madrid's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UioFC the free kick. After 24 played minutes Real Madrid got a freekick which was hit by Edvaldo Fontes. Diamantino Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Juan de Godoi fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Madrid's protests and gave Juan de Godoi a yellow card for diving instead. Juan de Godoi kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After having played for 31 minutes, Diamantino Nóbrega managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UioFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diamantino Nóbrega was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 32 minutes into the game, Dinei Schmidt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Adilson Donato managed to get in a good position for a shot. UioFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adilson Donato was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Teles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tião Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adilson Donato stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, Breno Araújo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UioFC and the Real Madrid players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, UioFC's Breno Araújo got a free kick in the 54th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Real Madrid's Sidney Seco tried to score from far away in the 55th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a little luck, UioFC's Mané Araújo got control of the ball when Tião Santana tried to sneak it across the goal line. Breno Araújo got his second yellow card in the match during the 60th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Mané Araújo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hílton Botelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diamantino Nóbrega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. André Teles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hílton Botelho in the 82nd minute of play forced UioFC's goalkeeper Mané Araújo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mané Araújo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hílton Botelho in the 87th minute of the match. UioFC's Mané Araújo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save UioFC from getting a goal against them. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
