Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrézinho de Amorim in the 6th minute of play forced Bemposta's goalkeeper Eusébio Cavalcante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reynaldo Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 13 minutes into the game, Paulão Miranda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SER Renascença's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bemposta the free kick. Paulão Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. SER Renascença's Váldson Duarte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save SER Renascença from getting a goal against them. Duarte Bittencourt hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Andrézinho de Amorim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eusébio Cavalcante having to make a save. After 21 played minutes SER Renascença got a freekick which was hit by Cauã de Medeiros. After a defensive mix-up in SER Renascença's zone, Reynaldo Maranhense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Váldson Duarte came out of the goal and Reynaldo Maranhense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. José Maria Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Váldson Duarte having to interfere. Reynaldo Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute, SER Renascença's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Reynaldo Maranhense fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 34th minute, Reynaldo Maranhense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Duarte Bittencourt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eusébio Cavalcante read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Andrézinho de Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot. SER Renascença's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrézinho de Amorim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eusébio Cavalcante breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Cauã de Medeiros was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 47 minutes had been played. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Maria Proença made a kick off. Váldson Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynaldo Maranhense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Váldson Duarte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reynaldo Maranhense's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. After 68 minutes, Andrézinho de Amorim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SER Renascença and the Bemposta players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th minute, Andrézinho de Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute Reynaldo Maranhense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Váldson Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bemposta's Eusébio Cavalcante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duarte Bittencourt in the 91st minute of play. Andrézinho de Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
