Mané Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adilson Donato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute, Adilson Donato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Egídio Arruda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alan Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mané Araújo having to interfere. Egídio Arruda struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Mané Araújo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mosquitinho. José Cosme kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 29th minute Alan Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mané Araújo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Egídio Arruda came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Mosquitinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Egídio Arruda couldn't finish the play. Alan Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Mané Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute Nelsinho Chaves suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iuri Sanches during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Mosquitinho getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Iuri Sanches hit a great ball. 43 minutes into the match, Diamantino Nóbrega notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Mosquitinho's Mané Machado. Mané Machado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mané Araújo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egídio Arruda, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Diamantino Nóbrega to strike the kick off in the second half. When José Cosme fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mosquitinho's protests and gave José Cosme a yellow card for diving instead. 55 minutes into the match, UioFC's goalkeeper Mané Araújo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Egídio Arruda. Alan Simões's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mané Araújo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. The UioFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mané Araújo should have stopped the shot. 68 minutes into the match, Mosquitinho's goal looked a bit too open when Diamantino Nóbrega came free, but Mané Machado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alan Simões blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mané Araújo having to make a save. A long shot from Luan Queirós in the 74th minute of play was well struck, but Mané Araújo made a really good save at the right post. Egídio Arruda in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mané Araújo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Breno Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mosquitinho's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
