The coaching staff of Sarutai EC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gerson Hoffmann had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sarutai EC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 2nd minute. Penalty! Falcão de Alcântara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Váldson Duarte made a huge save. José Paulo Cardoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulão Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Falcão de Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sarutai EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Falcão de Alcântara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Váldson Duarte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luiz Paulo Alagoano struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Váldson Duarte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. The wind increased when Ruy Quintal made the kick off in the second half. SER Renascença's Andrézinho de Amorim was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 55th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Sarutai EC's José Paulo Cardoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulão Miranda in the 59th minute of play. José Paulo Cardoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulão Miranda in the 61st minute of the match. Paulão Miranda received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sarutai EC's José Paulo Cardoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Sarutai EC from getting a goal against them. In the 86th minute, Duarte Bittencourt reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of José Paulo Cardoso. The goal made the score 0-6. After a defensive mix-up in SER Renascença's zone, Falcão de Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Váldson Duarte came out of the goal and Falcão de Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
