Nelsinho Barral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Abel Meirelles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Itaju getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Ronaldinho Barros hit a great ball. In the 21st minute, Alfredão Gerber sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Itaju's Didi de Brito didn't even have to move. Itaju's Didi de Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Percy Tepedino in the 28th minute of play. Percy Tepedino struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Didi de Brito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sustenido FC. In the 33rd minute, Gerson Dracena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wanderson Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Abel Meirelles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Percy Tepedino in the 40th minute of play forced Itaju's goalkeeper Didi de Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Percy Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nelsinho Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Itaju's Didi de Brito proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Itaju from getting a goal against them. In the 58th minute Percy Tepedino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Didi de Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronaldinho Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Alfredão Gerber, 63 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 67thth minute of the game Percy Tepedino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Itaju's Didi de Brito was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Sustenido FC's Percy Tepedino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Didi de Brito. That made the score 0-2 after 90 minutes of play. 94 minutes into the match, Itaju's goal looked a bit too open when Percy Tepedino came free, but Didi de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Didi de Brito managed to avoid a goal in the 97thth minute, when Sustenido FC's Gerson Dracena fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The Itaju fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sustenido FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
