In the 12th minute Rui Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto de Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Jeferson Rosa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alberto de Lara. Jeferson Rosa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Alberto de Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeferson Rosa in the 22nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Macurure EC's Alberto de Lara got control of the ball when Rui Santana tried to sneak it across the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Rui Santana lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Alberto de Lara. Vitório de Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Pires, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Macurure EC booed when Tubibau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael Carioca didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rui Santana in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alberto de Lara saved Macurure EC from getting behind. Rui Santana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto de Lara having to interfere. Jeferson Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Alberto de Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rui Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the game, Mané Palmeira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Macurure EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tubibau the free kick. After 45 played minutes Macurure EC got a freekick which was hit by Mané Palmeira. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 54th minute of the match Tubibau got a corner. Macurure EC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dorian Fonseca ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeferson Rosa in the 56th minute of play forced Macurure EC's goalkeeper Alberto de Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeferson Rosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62ndth minute of the game Rui Santana who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Macurure EC's Alberto de Lara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alberto de Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeferson Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute, Jeferson Rosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jeferson Rosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeferson Rosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Macurure EC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Fellipe Pires hit a great ball. If Jeferson Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Rui Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tubibau's supporters rose to their feet, but Rui Santana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberto de Lara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ismael Carioca charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ismael Carioca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jeferson Rosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto de Lara having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rui Santana in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberto de Lara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Macurure EC's Alberto de Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Santana in the 94th minute of play. Tubibau's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
