Almir Félix started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Luan Romero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nelsinho Barral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 13 minutes, Nelsinho Barral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itaju's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nelsinho Barral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eduardo Favoretto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wanderson Vale in the 15th minute. Wanderson Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Eduardo Favoretto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nelsinho Barral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvaldo de Salles in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Didi de Brito prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Amoreira EC's Eduardo Favoretto got control of the ball when Wanderson Vale tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eduardo Favoretto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelsinho Barral in the 33rd minute of the match. 41 minutes in the game, Nelsinho Barral fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Eduardo Favoretto having to interfere. In the 42nd match minute, Amoreira EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Augusto Simão to maneuver through the defense. In the 44thth minute of the game Nelsinho Barral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Amoreira EC's Eduardo Favoretto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Almir Félix took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Didi de Brito. Didi de Brito dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nelsinho Barral was the one to do the kick off. Eduardo Favoretto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelsinho Barral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes into the game, Osvaldo de Salles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Amoreira EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itaju the free kick. Almir Félix struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Didi de Brito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Amoreira EC. In the 67th minute, Osvaldo de Salles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Didi de Brito was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Osvaldo de Salles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Didi de Brito having to make a save. When Hermínio Matorin fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itaju's protests and gave Hermínio Matorin a yellow card for diving instead. Hermínio Matorin kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Osvaldo de Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Amoreira EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Osvaldo de Salles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Didi de Brito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Didi de Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Almir Félix in the 96th minute of the match. The supporters of Amoreira EC booed when Itaju was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Carlos Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Itaju supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Amoreira EC's performance. The match ended with a win for Amoreira EC.
