AtlânticoBBS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mathias Ceresso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Itaju's goalkeeper Didi de Brito, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Mathias Ceresso managed to get in a good position for a shot. AtlânticoBBS's supporters rose to their feet, but Mathias Ceresso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Didi de Brito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Didi de Brito didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mathias Ceresso went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 29 minutes, Mathias Ceresso made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Itaju's Didi de Brito tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. AtlânticoBBS's attentive José Sousa managed to snatch the ball when Maurício Goiano made a throw-in in the 37th minute of the game. Mathias Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Didi de Brito having to interfere. Maurício Goiano hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Didi de Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias Ceresso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Nelsinho Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edu Gaúcho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wanderson Vale in the 74th minute of play. When Itaju's Wanderson Vale in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Zé Carlos Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Jorge Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Didi de Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jorge Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. AtlânticoBBS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
