Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Mané Palmeira took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 7thth minute of the game Osvaldo de Salles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Macurure EC's Alberto de Lara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvaldo de Salles in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberto de Lara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Almir Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto de Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo de Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th match minute, Macurure EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mané Palmeira to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute, Mané Palmeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alberto de Lara didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Osvaldo de Salles went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Alberto de Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Almir Félix in the 32nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Mané Palmeira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eduardo Favoretto. That made the score 1-1 in the 36 minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Macurure EC's goal looked a bit too open when Almir Félix came free, but Alberto de Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Macurure EC's Alberto de Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Novaes in the 42nd minute of play. In the 47th minute Osvaldo de Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto de Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Almir Félix made the kick off in the second half. If Christian Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Macurure EC's Alberto de Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Almir Félix in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Macurure EC's goalkeeper Alberto de Lara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 59 minutes, Almir Félix made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Macurure EC's Alberto de Lara tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jairo Novaes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Alberto de Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Amoreira EC's Almir Félix slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alberto de Lara. That made the score 1-3 after 64 minutes of play. After having played for 68 minutes, Christian Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Macurure EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Pires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 70th match minute, Macurure EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Pires to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 73rd minute by Almir Félix got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In a very dangerous position, a player in Macurure EC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! Alberto de Lara had in the 76thth minute some difficulties stopping Pedrão Castro's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Osvaldo de Salless short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Alberto de Lara to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Osvaldo de Salles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 90th minute Almir Félix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto de Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Osvaldo de Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Amoreira EC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
