Emerson Travassos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Olívio Quirino when he managed to save the team from getting behind. João Francisco Souto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magno de Alcântara having to interfere. If Gino Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cauã Paraibano hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
