Andrézinho Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Kaspar Aunaste tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kaspar Aunaste came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Internacional's Cipriano Tavares. But to his dismay, Cipriano Tavares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Internacional's Cipriano Tavares in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Diabo Verde F.C's goalie prevented a goal. Diabo Verde F.C's attentive Régis Amorim managed to snatch the ball when Haroldo Pires made a throw-in in the 24th minute of the game. Diabo Verde F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andrézinho Gomes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. In the 45th minute, Cipriano Tavares made a precise shot to the right of Kaspar Aunaste. Diabo Verde F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Renato Diniz was the one to do the kick off. Nelsinho Ramalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olívio Martins in the 95th minute of the match. 96 minutes into the match, Diabo Verde F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Tavares came free, but Kaspar Aunaste reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Internacional could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Diabo Verde F.C throughout the match.
