Guerreiros FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Willian Souza scored to the left of an out of position Beto Peres, making the score, 1-0. Renato Nogueira struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Beto Peres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cabeco. After 22 minutes, Afonsinho Fernandez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cabeco and the Guerreiros FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Cabeco getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Afonsinho Fernandez hit a great ball. Renato Nogueira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Beto Peres read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Eusébio de Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Osvaldinho Neiva kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Perivaldo Aparecido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Macedo having to interfere. If Elano Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Perivaldo Aparecido stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Guerreiros FC's Osvaldinho Neiva got his second yellow card of the match in the 51st minute. The referee ordered Osvaldinho Neiva off the ground. The supporters of Cabeco booed when Guerreiros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldinho Neiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Guerreiros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Willian Souza came free, but Beto Peres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute, Ulisses Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Renato Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Renato Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Renato Nogueira came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Cabeco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renato Nogueira couldn't finish the play. If Elano Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the match, Guerreiros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Renato Nogueira came free, but Beto Peres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elano Marquez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Beto Peres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renato Nogueira in the 79th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Willian Souza notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Guerreiros FC's Beto Peres. Beto Peres was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 83 minutes into the game, Valdo Medeiros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cabeco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guerreiros FC the free kick. Valdo Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. If Elano Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusébio de Brito hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Beto Peres stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Willian Souza's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Renato Nogueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Beto Peres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96thth minute of the game Willian Souza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guerreiros FC's Beto Peres was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Guerreiros FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
