When Caio Costa Club's Nando Messias in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Montenêses's goalie prevented a goal. Montenêses's Doriva Zanette suffered a sore knee after 8 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Dinei Torres charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dinei Torres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Montenêses booed when Caio Costa Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinei Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nando Messias blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gernando Galvão having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Montenêses's Denílson Mineiro got a free kick in the 12th minute. Gernando Galvão didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nando Messias went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Gernando Galvão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nando Messias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gernando Galvão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nando Messias, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Silas Vidal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Gernando Galvão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Denílson Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chico de Mendonça hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Gernando Galvão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nando Messias in the 30th minute of the match. Gil Velasco took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gernando Galvão. Gernando Galvão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Nando Messias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Gernando Galvão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silas Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gernando Galvão didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nando Messias went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. The Montenêses players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Caio Costa Club were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nando Messias made a kick off. Chico de Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nando Messias in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gernando Galvão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nando Messias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gernando Galvão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Silas Vidal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gernando Galvão. That made the score 0-4 in the 59 minute of play. Nando Messias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gernando Galvão having to interfere. Caetano Galvão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denílson Mineiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nando Messias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Dinei Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 75 minutes, Nando Messias made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Montenêses's Gernando Galvão tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Montenêses getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Denílson Mineiro hit a great ball. Nando Messias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Gernando Galvão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gernando Galvão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Teles in the 82nd minute of the match. Nando Messias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gernando Galvão having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Gil Velasco took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Gernando Galvão to make any attempt to save it. Caio Costa Club's Nando Messias got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gernando Galvão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nando Messias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caio Costa Club played a much better game than Montenêses and deserved their victory. The Montenêses players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
