Carlos Augusto Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto França, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Ferroviária's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto França came free, but Carlos Augusto Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ferroviária's Carlos Augusto Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Décio Veiga in the 15th minute of play. Carlos Augusto Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto França in the 16th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Ferroviária's goal looked a bit too open when Vitório Terra came free, but Carlos Augusto Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Allan Trancoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ferroviária's supporters rose to their feet, but Allan Trancoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oséas Paraíba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd match minute, Profeta EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Linhares to maneuver through the defense. When Alberto França came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Profeta EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto França couldn't finish the play. Carlos Augusto Arruda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alberto França's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. In the 35th minute, Décio Veiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot 37 in the game by Allan Trancoso from a close distance when the talented Oséas Paraíba managed to make a qualified save. Profeta EC's players were relieved. Décio Veiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Augusto Arruda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto França went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Carlos Augusto Arruda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alberto França's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alberto França to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Ferroviária's zone, Décio Veiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Augusto Arruda came out of the goal and Décio Veiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ferroviária's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Décio Veiga 66 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4. After some careless play in the Ferroviária defense, Vitório Terra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Augusto Arruda. The Ferroviária fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Augusto Arruda should have stopped the shot. Alberto França recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto França in the 82nd minute of play forced Ferroviária's goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Décio Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Augusto Arruda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto França, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Décio Veiga in the 87th minute of play forced Ferroviária's goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute, Allan Trancoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Profeta EC's Décio Veiga slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Carlos Augusto Arruda. That made the score 0-6 after 93 minutes of play. The Ferroviária fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Profeta EC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
