Josué de Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nando Messias in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute of the match, Nando Messias tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Josué de Lima saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 10 minutes into the match, Benta's goalkeeper Josué de Lima had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geovânio Nogueira. Caio Costa Club's Caetano Galvão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Luiz Hermes in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Benta's Ernesto Lira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Caetano Galvão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Caio Costa Club getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Remo Donatello hit a great ball. Caetano Galvão came out of the goal and Cássio Paranaense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
