Faustão Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Mathias Trancoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rony Queiroz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mathias Trancoso having to make a save. Artur Vaz charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artur Vaz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th match minute, Expressinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Vaz to maneuver through the defense. After 11 played minutes Expressinho got a freekick which was hit by Jânio Lucas. After 16 played minutes Gravediggers FC got a freekick which was hit by Tiago Maciel. Mathias Trancoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rony Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rony Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rony Queiroz came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Gravediggers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rony Queiroz couldn't finish the play. After 28 played minutes Expressinho got a freekick which was hit by Jânio Lucas. Mathias Trancoso was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Samuel Carioca. In a very dangerous position, a player in Expressinho fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 32nd minute. Penalty! In the 38thth minute of the game Rony Queiroz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Expressinho's Mathias Trancoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tiago Maciel might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mathias Trancoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tiago Maciel ran back to his position shaking his head. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 52nd match minute, Expressinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Álvaro Tinoco to maneuver through the defense. Artur Vaz was shown his second yellow card after 54 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 55 played minutes Expressinho got a freekick which was hit by Artur Vaz. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Expressinho's goalkeeper Mathias Trancoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Beto Bezerra hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 68 minutes into the match, Gravediggers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Álvaro Tinoco came free, but Albertinho da Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rony Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Expressinho defense, Rony Queiroz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mathias Trancoso. The Expressinho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mathias Trancoso should have stopped the shot. Álvaro Tinoco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Gravediggers FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Tiago Maciel hit a great ball. 79 minutes into the game, Beto Bezerra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Expressinho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gravediggers FC the free kick. In the 80th minute, Beto Bezerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute, Rony Queiroz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Faustão Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rony Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Expressinho's goal looked a bit too open when Faustão Vale came free, but Mathias Trancoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gravediggers FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
