The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Verdão Paranaense F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Washington de Amaral. Kaká Vides didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evaristo de Azevedo went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 18th minute Gino Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaká Vides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Verdão Paranaense F. C.'s Kaká Vides played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gino Azevedo in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murilo do Nascimento in the 24th minute of play forced Verdão Paranaense F. C.'s goalkeeper Kaká Vides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute Evaristo de Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaká Vides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute, Ernesto Koehler left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Verdão Paranaense F. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Ernesto Koehler blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cléber Chaves having to make a save. 34 minutes into the match, Verdão Paranaense F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gino Azevedo came free, but Kaká Vides reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Verdão Paranaense F. C.'s Kaká Vides played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gino Azevedo in the 40th minute of play. When Miguel Mandrak came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Verdão Paranaense F. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Mandrak couldn't finish the play. Verdão Paranaense F. C.'s Kaká Vides played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gino Azevedo in the 44th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Evaristo de Azevedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kaká Vides. Verdão Paranaense F. C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Evaristo de Azevedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Gino Azevedo made the kick off in the second half. Murilo do Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 52nd minute, Álvaro Furlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vânderson Quadros hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Teodoro Veloso came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Kaká Vides could save by the left post. Kaká Vides made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Murilo do Nascimento sent off a good shot on target. Kaká Vides came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by SouLofGold's Murilo do Nascimento. But to his dismay, Murilo do Nascimento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. 71 minutes into the game, Gino Azevedo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kaká Vides. Gino Azevedo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Verdão Paranaense F. C.'s Samuca Sá quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Humberto Vides, made in the 75th minute of the game. Miguel Mandrak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Murilo do Nascimento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Kaká Vides made a huge save. Cléber Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro Furlan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 98 minutes of play, Verdão Paranaense F. C.'s Ernesto Koehler made it 3-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cléber Chaves was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Verdão Paranaense F. C. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SouLofGold's performance. The match ended with a win for SouLofGold.
