After 6 played minutes Franquinho FC got a freekick which was hit by Moisés Simões. Tostão Peixoto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Dias, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 15th minute Breno Peixoto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião de Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Bernardo Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastião de Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breno Peixoto in the 27th minute of the match. Nico Barros struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Sebastião de Lima didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Habibes. 44 minutes into the game, Habibes's Ronaldo Meireles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastião de Lima made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Breno Peixoto was the one to do the kick off. Habibes's Tostão Peixoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Dias in the 56th minute of play. If Bernardo Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Waldir Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastião de Lima came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Habibes's Waldir Salles. But to his dismay, Waldir Salles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After 68 played minutes Habibes got a freekick which was hit by Doriva Palmeira. In the 71st minute, Breno Peixoto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sebastião de Lima was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Franquinho FC's Sebastião de Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldir Salles in the 78th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Franquinho FC's Willian Sá got a free kick in the 97th minute. Habibes's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
