A collision led to Franquinho FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Alfredão Barros hit a great ball. After 10 minutes of play, Franquinho FC's Noel Rodrigues made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cléber Chaves was left in no man's land by his defense there! Teodoro Veloso charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teodoro Veloso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Teodoro Veloso kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. SouLofGold's Cléber Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel Rodrigues in the 14th minute of play. When Bernardo Dias came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Franquinho FC fans jumped to their feet. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gino Azevedo in the 20th minute of play forced Franquinho FC's goalkeeper Sebastião de Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastião de Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gino Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Franquinho FC's Sebastião de Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gino Azevedo in the 29th minute of play. SouLofGold's Gino Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Evaristo de Azevedo during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Evaristo de Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, SouLofGold's goal looked a bit too open when Noel Rodrigues came free, but Cléber Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardo Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cléber Chaves having to interfere. Gino Azevedo might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastião de Lima. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gino Azevedo ran back to his position shaking his head. If Murilo do Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Alfredão Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute, Gino Azevedo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sebastião de Lima. The goal made the score 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernardo Dias stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 67 played minutes SouLofGold got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo de Azevedo. A hard and well directed shot from Magno Maranhense led 67 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. SouLofGold's Cléber Chaves became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 1-4. Murilo do Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Murilo do Nascimento might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastião de Lima. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 76th minute Murilo do Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião de Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
