But to his dismay, Nilmar Carvalho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. José Augusto Vander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breno Peixoto in the 23rd minute of the match. Habibes's Tostão Peixoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Bezerra in the 25th minute of play. Tostão Peixoto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Urbano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, Habibes's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Guilherme Viana came free, but Tostão Peixoto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute Alberto Urbano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tostão Peixoto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of DeadPool FC booed when Habibes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Trancoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute, Breno Peixoto made a precise shot to the right of José Augusto Vander. DeadPool FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Luís Guilherme Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Waldir Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Augusto Vander having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, Tomás Bezerra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DeadPool FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Habibes the free kick. After 60 played minutes DeadPool FC got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Bezerra. If Nilmar Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Carlos Eduardo Koehler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Waldir Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Augusto Vander having to interfere. After 75 minutes, Luís Guilherme Viana mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DeadPool FC and the Habibes players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilmar Carvalho in the 81st minute of play forced Habibes's goalkeeper Tostão Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Urbano charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alberto Urbano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
