Anísio Ferreiras short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Vitinho Mendes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ivo Recife kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the game, Lúcio Bezerra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corinthians's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Medieval Football Club the free kick. Lúcio Bezerra hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Leonardo Pena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristiano Messias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vladimir de Queirós's late challenge caught a Medieval Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vladimir de Queirós helped the player get up and apologised. After 29 minutes, Jorge Rossi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corinthians and the Medieval Football Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Corinthians getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Jorge Rossi hit a great ball. Corinthians's Cristiano Messias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederico Messias in the 30th minute of play. Waldir Moreira's late challenge caught a Corinthians's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Waldir Moreira helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Medieval Football Club's Waldir Moreira got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Frederico Messias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristiano Messias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Cristiano Messias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frederico Messias, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Vitinho Mendes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Pedro Montenegro in the 41st minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Pedro Montenegro made a kick off. Medieval Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frederico Messias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Leonardo Pena kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cristiano Messias. That made the score 1-2 in the 68 minute of play. Anísio Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitinho Mendes having to interfere. Ivo Recife received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Cristiano Messias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristiano Messias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frederico Messias in the 84th minute.
