José Augusto Vander was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from José Paulo Valadares. 40 minutes into the match, Expressinho's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Guilherme Viana came free, but Mathias Trancoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nilmar Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathias Trancoso having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Nilmar Carvalho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The DeadPool FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Beto Bezerra to make the kick off.
