An unexpectedly hard shot by Anderson Novaes in the 12th minute of play forced Habibes's goalkeeper Tostão Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the game, Real Vitinho's Juvenal Dionísio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tostão Peixoto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. When Vítor Tavares fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Habibes's protests and gave Vítor Tavares a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Habibes's Vítor Tavares got a free kick in the 21st minute. Waldir Salles struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Christian Guimarães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Habibes. Christian Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breno Peixoto in the 28th minute of the match. Christian Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breno Peixoto, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Vitinho's goalkeeper Christian Guimarães, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Breno Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Habibes's supporters rose to their feet, but Breno Peixoto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Guimarães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Real Vitinho! In the 42nd minute there was a penalty for Habibes. Vítor Tavares stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Christian Guimarães. 1-3. After 45 minutes, Tiaguinho Pontes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Habibes and the Real Vitinho players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th match minute, Habibes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiaguinho Pontes to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Breno Peixoto was the one to do the kick off. Vítor Tavares hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute, Anderson Novaes made a precise shot to the right of Tostão Peixoto. Habibes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. The supporters of Habibes booed when Real Vitinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emílio Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. Real Vitinho's Christian Guimarães proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Real Vitinho from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Real Vitinho getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Narciso Paraense hit a great ball. Anderson Novaes hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Waldir Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Guimarães having to interfere. After 79 minutes of play, Real Vitinho's Edvaldo Coutinho made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tostão Peixoto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Christian Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breno Peixoto in the 82nd minute of the match. When Waldir Salles came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Habibes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waldir Salles couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Real Vitinho getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Anderson Novaes hit a great ball. Emílio Varela hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Despite being the better team, Habibes failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
