The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicolas Rossi during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Expressinho booed when Gravediggers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Rossi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albertinho da Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beto Bezerra in the 7th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Gravediggers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Beto Bezerra came free, but Albertinho da Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rony Queiroz in the 15th minute of play forced Expressinho's goalkeeper Mathias Trancoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rony Queiroz made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Beto Bezerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Expressinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Beto Bezerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albertinho da Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Gravediggers FC defense, Álvaro Tinoco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Albertinho da Costa. The Gravediggers FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albertinho da Costa should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Expressinho's Beto Bezerra got a free kick in the 61st minute. Artur Vaz hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After 72 minutes of play, Gravediggers FC's Faustão Vale made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mathias Trancoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mathias Trancoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rony Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Álvaro Tinoco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Albertinho da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Gravediggers FC's Samuel Carioca got a free kick in the 87th minute.
