If Iuri Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelsinho Vieira in the 8th minute of play forced Iprya SS's goalkeeper Saturnino Tibalt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saturnino Tibalt stood somewhat misplaced when Flavinho Linhares came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 14 minute. Iuri Batista struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Felippe Gaúcho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iprya SS. After 19 played minutes Catolé FC got a freekick which was hit by Nelson Brodel. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iuri Batista in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felippe Gaúcho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 22nd minute, Charles Munhoz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Manoel Dante's late challenge caught a Iprya SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manoel Dante helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Iprya SS booed when Catolé FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manoel Dante didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nelsinho Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the game, Iprya SS's Iuri Batista nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Felippe Gaúcho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Nelsinho Vieira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Saturnino Tibalt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manoel Dante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saturnino Tibalt having to interfere. Felippe Gaúcho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guto Vianna in the 44th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Catolé FC's Felippe Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guto Vianna in the 64th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Iprya SS's Guto Vianna slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Felippe Gaúcho. That made the score 1-4 after 68 minutes of play. Charles Munhoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelsinho Vieira in the 78th minute of play forced Iprya SS's goalkeeper Saturnino Tibalt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Guto Vianna took a quick shot and it went in 1-6 without a chance for Felippe Gaúcho to make any attempt to save it. Felippe Gaúcho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guto Vianna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Catolé FC defense, Charles Munhoz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Felippe Gaúcho. The Catolé FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Felippe Gaúcho should have stopped the shot. If Flavinho Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iprya SS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
