In the 16th minute Edu Donatello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Maranhense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. BLACK FUTEBOL CLUBE's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Luís Eduardo Vander scored to the left of an out of position Felippe Moreno, making the score, 1-0. André Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edu Donatello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Júlio Furlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Eduardo Vander who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Felippe Moreno when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Edu Donatello managed to get in a good position for a shot. BLACK FUTEBOL CLUBE's supporters rose to their feet, but Edu Donatello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Maranhense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in BLACK FUTEBOL CLUBE's zone, Basílio Moreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felippe Moreno came out of the goal and Basílio Moreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Eduardo Vander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Júlio Furlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Naldo Cerezo came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the BLACK FUTEBOL CLUBE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Naldo Cerezo couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Júlio Furlan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Júlio Furlan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Felippe Moreno read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Felippe Costa thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Felippe Moreno, a very annoying self made goal in the 62nd minute which led to 2-0. Cláudio Pena hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Luís Eduardo Vander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felippe Moreno having to interfere. 3-0 became the score in the 70th minute when Júlio Furlan elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. André Maranhense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edu Donatello in the 75th minute. Waldir Furlan charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Waldir Furlan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Celeste SC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Waldir Furlan hit a great ball. In the 84th minute, Júlio Furlan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Felippe Moreno was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Júlio Furlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felippe Moreno having to interfere. Júlio Furlan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Felippe Moreno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Júlio Furlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felippe Moreno having to interfere. Luís Eduardo Vander's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Felippe Moreno read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. 95 minutes into the game, Léo Mesquita was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Celeste SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BLACK FUTEBOL CLUBE the free kick. If Edu Donatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Celeste SC had played much better football throughout.
