When Vitinho Nogueira came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Caveira Taubate FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vitinho Nogueira couldn't finish the play. Torneiros EC's Rodrigo Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráuzio Galvão in the 17th minute of play. In the 19thth minute of the game Dráuzio Galvão who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Torneiros EC's Rodrigo Vieira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 20 minutes of play, Caveira Taubate FC's Vitinho Nogueira made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodrigo Vieira was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Dráuzio Galvão in the 24th minute of play forced Torneiros EC's goalkeeper Rodrigo Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the game, Dráuzio Galvão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Rodrigo Vieira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Torneiros EC's Rodrigo Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitinho Nogueira in the 29th minute of play. Rodrigo Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitinho Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodrigo Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dráuzio Galvão in the 38th minute of play. After the first half Caveira Taubate FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vitinho Nogueira to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Dráuzio Galvão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caveira Taubate FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dráuzio Galvão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vitinho Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Vieira having to interfere. Vitinho Nogueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Rodrigo Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Vitinho Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the match, Torneiros EC's goalkeeper Rodrigo Vieira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dráuzio Galvão. When Dráuzio Galvão came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Caveira Taubate FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dráuzio Galvão couldn't finish the play. In the 72nd minute, Daniel Arósio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 94 minutes of play, Torneiros EC's Giovanni Quirino made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Osmar Varela was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Caveira Taubate FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
