Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Egídio Hoffmann started the match with the kick off. After having played for 4 minutes, Raúl Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Targinos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raúl Figueiredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alberto Marinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egídio Hoffmann in the 13th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Egídio Hoffmann made a precise shot to the right of Alberto Marinho. Touros's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 22 minutes into the game, Egídio Hoffmann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Alberto Marinho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Carlos Eduardo Carneiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alberto Marinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egídio Hoffmann in the 33rd minute of play. Allan Diniz's late challenge caught a Targinos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberto Marinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egídio Hoffmann in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

55 minutes into the game, Dudu Soeiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alberto Marinho. Dudu Soeiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Alberto Marinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Egídio Hoffmann in the 60th minute of the match. Alberto Marinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egídio Hoffmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Touros's Alberto Marinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egídio Hoffmann in the 64th minute of play. 65 minutes into the game, Targinos's José Maria Aguiar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alberto Marinho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Egídio Hoffmann scored 0-6 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alberto Marinho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Vergílio in the 78th minute of play forced Touros's goalkeeper Alberto Marinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raúl Figueiredo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Alberto Marinho made a huge save. In the 80th minute, Targinos's Egídio Hoffmann ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alberto Marinho. Alberto Marinho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Egídio Hoffmann took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Alberto Marinho to make any attempt to save it. After 87 minutes of play, Targinos's Raúl Figueiredo made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alberto Marinho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Targinos's José Maria Aguiar got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Targinos could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Touros throughout the match.
