Spectators: 7174 (Terracing: 5382, Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 142) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Luiz Gustavo Abreu kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inácio Lago in the 4th minute of play forced Asa Sul FC's goalkeeper Edvaldo Araújo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bruninho Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edvaldo Araújo was a little too slow when Inácio Lago got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 5th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 15th minute Inácio Lago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvaldo Araújo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruninho Silveira hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Edvaldo Araújo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inácio Lago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edvaldo Araújo made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Bruninho Silveira sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Asa Sul FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Luiz Gustavo Abreu hit a great ball. After 24 played minutes, Jaudilandia FC's José Castro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Edvaldo Araújo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jaudilandia FC reached it. Bruninho Silveira came free with the goalkeeper in the 28th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Edvaldo Araújo could save by the left post. After 32 minutes, Sílvio Branco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Asa Sul FC and the Jaudilandia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 33rd minute of the match Mazinho de Queirós sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edvaldo Araújo skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Jaudilandia FC's zone, Sílvio Branco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Renato Novaes came out of the goal and Sílvio Branco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mazinho Cosme kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Inácio Lago to strike the kick off in the second half. Asa Sul FC's Edvaldo Araújo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inácio Lago in the 56th minute of play. Edvaldo Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mazinho Cosme in the 65th minute of play. Benjamim Arruda came free in the 69th minute and tried to tip the ball over Paulo Renato Novaes, but to the joy of Jaudilandia FC's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. The supporters of Jaudilandia FC booed when Asa Sul FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amílton Mineiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute Bruninho Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvaldo Araújo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruninho Silveira charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bruninho Silveira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Jaudilandia FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Bruninho Silveira hit a great ball. After 80 played minutes Asa Sul FC got a freekick which was hit by Benjamim Arruda. If Luiz Gustavo Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Asa Sul FC's Edvaldo Araújo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inácio Lago in the 96th minute of play. Despite being the better team, Asa Sul FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
