Paulo José Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Xavier in the 5th minute of the match. 1-0 became the score in the 6th minute when Abelardo Cavalcante elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. With splendid footwork Abelardo Cavalcante arrived in front of goal to shoot 2-0 by the left pole in the game's 10th minute. Esporte Clube Guaxinim's Frederik Rauen got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Upá Porks getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. João Vítor de Salles hit a great ball. Esporte Clube Guaxinim's Paulo José Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Paes in the 24th minute of play. If Arnaldo Pernambucano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28thth minute of the game Abelardo Cavalcante who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Upá Porks's Nilton Sergipano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Esporte Clube Guaxinim's Paulo José Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Vítor de Salles in the 35th minute of play. After 36 played minutes Esporte Clube Guaxinim got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Pernambucano. Nilton Sergipano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abelardo Cavalcante's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Nilton Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abelardo Cavalcante, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Abelardo Cavalcante took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Nilton Sergipano to make any attempt to save it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Rodriguinho da Silva's late challenge caught a Upá Porks's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodriguinho da Silva helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd match minute, Esporte Clube Guaxinim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodriguinho da Silva to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Esporte Clube Guaxinim's Paulo José Amorim got control of the ball when Victor Paes tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 56 minutes, Frank Xavier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Upá Porks and the Esporte Clube Guaxinim players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Upá Porks's Frank Xavier got a free kick in the 56th minute. A collision led to Upá Porks getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. João Vítor de Salles hit a great ball. Nilton Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abelardo Cavalcante, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Rodriguinho da Silva took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nilton Sergipano. Nilton Sergipano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. After 73rd play minutes Abelardo Cavalcante shot 5-1, a short shot which went by Nilton Sergipano and just under the crossbar into goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Frank Xavier kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Paulo José Amorim. That made the score 5-2 in the 90 minute of play. Nilton Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abelardo Cavalcante, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Arnaldo Pernambucano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esporte Clube Guaxinim's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnaldo Pernambucano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nilton Sergipano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Esporte Clube Guaxinim fully deserved thier win.
