Upá Porks's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Xavier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Guilherme Vieira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Claudinho da Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. After 10 minutes of play, Upá Porks's Cristóvão Xavier made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Júnior de Medeiros ran over to the corner to take the kick. 25 minutes into the match, Upá Porks's goal looked a bit too open when Hermínio Tavares came free, but Nilton Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Upá Porks getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. João Vítor de Salles hit a great ball. In the 35th minute, Sílvio de Mendonça sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Upá Porks's Nilton Sergipano didn't even have to move. 39 minutes into the game, Victor Paes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luiz Guilherme Vieira. Victor Paes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Victor Paes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luiz Guilherme Vieira having to make a save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

In the 54thth minute of the game Frank Xavier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esporte Clube Keller's Luiz Guilherme Vieira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Upá Porks's Júnior de Medeiros got a free kick in the 55th minute. When Cristóvão Xavier fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Upá Porks's protests and gave Cristóvão Xavier a yellow card for diving instead. Cristóvão Xavier kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. The long shot by Sílvio de Mendonça in the 63rd minute really tested Nilton Sergipano's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Upá Porks's Victor Paes got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luiz Guilherme Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Xavier in the 74th minute of the match. Frank Xavier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Guilherme Vieira having to interfere.
