Caetano Queiroz came out of the goal and Léo Gomes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Caetano Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Léo Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Perivaldo de Souza scored 1-0 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Naldo Mendes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 11th minute, Tony Brito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Patcha FC's Giuseppe Ribeiro got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute, Edmundo Custódio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Léo Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Caetano Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Irece's goal looked a bit too open when Waldemar Dionísio came free, but Caetano Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Waldemar Dionísio came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Patcha FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waldemar Dionísio couldn't finish the play. If Léo Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Waldemar Dionísio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Patcha FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Waldemar Dionísio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caetano Queiroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Naldo Mendes made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Cícero Batista sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Patcha FC's Léo Gomes got a free kick in the 31st minute. After some careless play in the Patcha FC defense, Hugo Salgado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Naldo Mendes. The Patcha FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Naldo Mendes should have stopped the shot. Irece's Caetano Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Dionísio in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Léo Gomes in the 38th minute of play forced Irece's goalkeeper Caetano Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hugo Salgado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 43 played minutes Irece got a freekick which was hit by Cícero Batista. 47 minutes into the match, Patcha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Perivaldo de Souza came free, but Naldo Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tony Brito was the one to do the kick off. If Léo Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Dito Abreu fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Patcha FC's protests and gave Dito Abreu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Patcha FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Dito Abreu hit a great ball. After 79 minutes, Hugo Salgado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Irece and the Patcha FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 79 played minutes Irece got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Salgado. Waldemar Dionísio might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Caetano Queiroz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Waldemar Dionísio ran back to his position shaking his head. When Perivaldo de Souza fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Irece's protests and gave Perivaldo de Souza a yellow card for diving instead. Perivaldo de Souza hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Irece defense, Waldemar Dionísio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Caetano Queiroz. The Irece fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Caetano Queiroz should have stopped the shot. After 89 minutes of play, Irece's Tony Brito made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Naldo Mendes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Naldo Mendes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Salgado in the 96th minute of play.
