Frank Xavier started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes Tropa de Elite got a freekick which was hit by Gilvan Bittencourt. Victor Paes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juninho Montenegro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. After 4 played minutes Tropa de Elite got a freekick which was hit by Gilvan Bittencourt. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Frank Xavier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Upá Porks's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Xavier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juninho Montenegro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Umberto Maranhense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tropa de Elite's supporters rose to their feet, but Umberto Maranhense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nilton Sergipano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marquinhos Koehler kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 20thth minute of the game Ian Lara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Upá Porks's Nilton Sergipano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 21st match minute, Upá Porks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristóvão Xavier to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the game, Cristóvão Xavier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Upá Porks's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tropa de Elite the free kick. After 25 played minutes Upá Porks got a freekick which was hit by Cristóvão Xavier. Juninho Montenegro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frank Xavier's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. After 30 played minutes Tropa de Elite got a freekick which was hit by Gilvan Bittencourt. Umberto Maranhense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Nilton Sergipano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Tropa de Elite's Ian Lara in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Upá Porks's goalie prevented a goal. Frank Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 45 minutes into the match, Tropa de Elite's goalkeeper Juninho Montenegro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victor Paes. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Umberto Maranhense to strike the kick off in the second half. Vítor Paes kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. If Victor Paes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute, Ian Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Victor Paes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Upá Porks's supporters rose to their feet, but Victor Paes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juninho Montenegro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Tropa de Elite getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Vítor Paes hit a great ball. After 79 played minutes, Upá Porks's Júnior de Medeiros shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Juninho Montenegro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Upá Porks reached it. 83 minutes into the match, Upá Porks's Cristóvão Xavier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juninho Montenegro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Upá Porks's Victor Paes in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tropa de Elite's goalie prevented a goal. Juninho Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Xavier in the 89th minute of the match. Tropa de Elite's Ian Lara got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Umberto Maranhense took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Nilton Sergipano to make any attempt to save it. The Upá Porks supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tropa de Elite's performance. The match ended with a win for Tropa de Elite.
