CORINTHIANS-DF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonello Fagnani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dariusz Treppa charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dariusz Treppa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in CORINTHIANS-DF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 35th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Gigante a penalty, 37 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dênis Borges, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of CORINTHIANS-DF's Bill Phasey. 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in CORINTHIANS-DF's zone, Afonsinho Tinoco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bill Phasey came out of the goal and Afonsinho Tinoco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 43 minutes, Antonello Fagnani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The wind increased when Afonsinho Tinoco made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, CORINTHIANS-DF's goal looked a bit too open when Afonsinho Tinoco came free, but Bill Phasey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CORINTHIANS-DF's Bill Phasey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonsinho Tinoco in the 66th minute of play. Henrique Madureira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Bill Phasey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Henrique Madureira came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Gigante fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henrique Madureira couldn't finish the play. Antonello Fagnani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antonello Fagnani in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erik Pontes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Agnaldo Dante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Pontes having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonello Fagnani in the 88th minute of play forced Gigante's goalkeeper Erik Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the game, CORINTHIANS-DF's Antonello Fagnani nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erik Pontes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Antonello Fagnani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
