In the 20th minute Doriva Tinoco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Zanette saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Régis Marinho fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Os Trezes's protests and gave Régis Marinho a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd minute of the match Arlindo Figueiredo shot from a long distance. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Geovanni Seco to make the kick off. Donato Zanette took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Téo Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Geovanni Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emerson Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Emerson Pereira managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Atlético Clube Tá Rocheda's Geovanni Seco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 83rd minute, Atlético Clube Tá Rocheda's Geovanni Seco dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. After having played for 95 minutes, Wellington Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Clube Tá Rocheda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wellington Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Atlético Clube Tá Rocheda played a much better game than Os Trezes and deserved their victory. The Os Trezes players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
