Spectators: 7244 (Terracing: 5434, Seating: 1666, VIP seats: 144) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Toninho Arruda made the kick off which started today's match. When Adriano Gaspar fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Picada's protests and gave Adriano Gaspar a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Pereira Futebol Clube booed when Picada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adriano Gaspar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Percy Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toninho Arruda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the match, Pereira Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Toninho Arruda came free, but Percy Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toninho Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percy Leite having to interfere. Pereira Futebol Clube's Percy Leite proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Pereira Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. In the 21st minute, Zé Pedro Cerezo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Percy Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toninho Arruda in the 28th minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, Zé Pedro Cerezo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Percy Leite. Zé Pedro Cerezo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Pereira Futebol Clube's Percy Leite proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Pereira Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Picada's Luciano Donato got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toninho Arruda in the 44th minute of play forced Pereira Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Percy Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After 53 played minutes Pereira Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Tião Souza. When Toninho Arruda came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Picada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toninho Arruda couldn't finish the play. If Toninho Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute Cauan Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percy Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toninho Arruda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Picada's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
