Aílton Félix could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Emerson Pereira made a huge save. Doriva Tinoco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Ademar Falcão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Suico's Cauan Meirelles shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 27th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Emerson Pereira but with some difficulty. Miguel de Amorim hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Os Trezes's Emerson Pereira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Os Trezes from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aílton Félix in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emerson Pereira saved Os Trezes from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonas Paraense got free with Emerson Pereira in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emerson Pereira made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Jonas Paraense sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Aílton Félix managed to get in a good position for a shot. Suico's supporters rose to their feet, but Aílton Félix was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emerson Pereira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice moves Jonas Paraense could shoot a difficult shot in the 41st minute, which Emerson Pereira however easily saved by the left post. Aílton Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emerson Pereira having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Doriva Tinoco to make the kick off. Tales Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sérgio Linhares during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st minute, Aílton Félix made a precise shot to the right of Emerson Pereira. Os Trezes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Ademar Falcão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doriva Tinoco, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. When Jonas Paraense came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Suico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonas Paraense couldn't finish the play. Ademar Falcão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doriva Tinoco in the 96th minute of the match.
