Danilo Eger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beto Sampaio in the 13th minute of the match. Beto Sampaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Danilo Eger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 22 minutes of play, Itabayanna's Beto Sampaio made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Danilo Eger was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Beto Sampaio in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Danilo Eger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 31 minutes into the game, Dieguinho Leme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Itapoama FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itabayanna the free kick. A collision led to Itapoama FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Dieguinho Leme hit a great ball. Danilo Eger came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Itabayanna's Beto Sampaio. But to his dismay, Beto Sampaio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Vitinho Nunes sped through Itapoama FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Danilo Eger. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Alfredo Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itapoama FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Pirani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ediberto Soeiro to strike the kick off in the second half. Beto Sampaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Danilo Eger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Itapoama FC's goal looked a bit too open when Beto Sampaio came free, but Danilo Eger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vitinho Nunes got free with Danilo Eger in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 66 minutes, Beto Sampaio made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Itapoama FC's Danilo Eger tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ediberto Soeiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vicente Pirani having to make a save. In the 77th minute, Itapoama FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Vitinho Nunes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 78th match minute, Itapoama FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dieguinho Leme to maneuver through the defense. Vitinho Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Vitinho Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 86 minutes into the match, Itapoama FC's goal looked a bit too open when Beto Sampaio came free, but Danilo Eger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner was taken by Manuel Lago in the 94th minute. The corner led Itabayanna's Manuel Lago to fire away a dangerous shot which Danilo Eger despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Itabayanna's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
