The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 8 played minutes Marajazinho got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Arantes. Patrick Arantes struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Cido de Alcântara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marajazinho. Didi Salles's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Cido de Alcântara skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 14th match minute, Ayres 07 F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Túlio Sanches to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the game, Patrick Arantes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marajazinho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ayres 07 F.C the free kick. In the 27th minute, Hílton Mangueira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ayres 07 F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Hílton Mangueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Percy Marques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 35th minute of the match Cléber Abreu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cido de Alcântara showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Patrick Arantes struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Cido de Alcântara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marajazinho. In the 40th minute, Léo Braga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Patrick Arantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ayres 07 F.C's Luciano Travassos got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Didi Salles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Cido de Alcântara made a huge save. Patrick Arantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cido de Alcântara having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Patrick Arantes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Percy Marques recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Ronaldo Terra fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marajazinho's protests and gave Ronaldo Terra a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Marajazinho getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Ronaldo Terra hit a great ball. Percy Marques who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Hélio Silva when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Hélio Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hílton Mangueira in the 59th minute of the match. Cido de Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Arantes, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After a rather tough play, Ayres 07 F.C's Luciano Travassos got a free kick in the 61st minute. Patrick Arantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cido de Alcântara having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Marajazinho's Didi Salles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cido de Alcântara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cido de Alcântara didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patrick Arantes went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Patrick Arantes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marajazinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrick Arantes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cido de Alcântara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Léo Braga kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Ayres 07 F.C's Cido de Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Arantes in the 71st minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Marajazinho's Didi Salles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cido de Alcântara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Patrick Arantes came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Marajazinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrick Arantes couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Patrick Arantes in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cido de Alcântara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Didi Salles in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cido de Alcântara saved Ayres 07 F.C from getting behind. Didi Salles struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Cido de Alcântara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marajazinho. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
