Itabayanna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fito FC the free kick. Marco Travassos hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Vicente Pirani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredão Pernambucano, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 9th minute, Alfredão Pernambucano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vicente Pirani was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Beto Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 15th minute of the match Marco Travassos completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Marco Travassos a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Dino Capixaba was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 16th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Beto Sampaio kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. When Vitinho Nunes came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Itabayanna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vitinho Nunes couldn't finish the play. Vitinho Nunes succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 27th playminute. With his leg Jonas Coelho managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Itabayanna's Vitinho Nunes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cássio Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Jonas Coelho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vitinho Nunes in the 34th minute. Cafu Britto charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cafu Britto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudinei Saraiva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Vitinho Nunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Serafim Secco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Jonas Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cafu Britto kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. If Vitinho Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vitinho Nunes scored 2-1 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonas Coelho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 77 minutes, Armandinho Neves made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Fito FC's Jonas Coelho tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 96th minute Serafim Secco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Itabayanna had played much better football throughout.
