After 6 played minutes MINAÇU F.C got a freekick which was hit by Adhemar Melo. In the 12th minute, João Paulo Camargo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jazz Esporte Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Jardel Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adhemar Melo in the 19th minute of play. Sidnei Carneiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Kaká Viana when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the last second Kaká Viana throw himself and got hold of the ball when João Paulo Camargo in the 24thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 28 minutes into the match, Jazz Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Adhemar Melo came free, but Jardel Figueiredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute, João Paulo Camargo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jardel Figueiredo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulo Renato Mota went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to MINAÇU F.C getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Luiz Eduardo Mello hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, MINAÇU F.C's Luiz Eduardo Mello got a free kick in the 39th minute. After a rather tough play, Jazz Esporte Clube's Faustão Arósio got a free kick in the 43rd minute. It was beautiful to see MINAÇU F.C's Luiz Gustavo Luz in action when he in the 46th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance!

MINAÇU F.C's Kaká Viana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Paulo Camargo in the 55th minute of play. Kaká Viana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Paulo Camargo in the 64th minute of the match. João Paulo Camargo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulo Renato Mota hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. If João Paulo Camargo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, MINAÇU F.C's Breno Marinho got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute, João Paulo Camargo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 81st minute, Sidnei Carneiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jazz Esporte Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Paulo Camargo in the 86th minute of play forced MINAÇU F.C's goalkeeper Kaká Viana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute of the match Dinei Novaes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kaká Viana showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sidnei Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the match, João Paulo Camargo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kaká Viana. MINAÇU F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Paulo Camargo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. 98 minutes into the match, MINAÇU F.C's goal looked a bit too open when João Paulo Camargo came free, but Kaká Viana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. MINAÇU F.C's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
