With 8 minutes on the clock, Alexsandro Valle commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Rodrigo Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Pedro Goiano having to interfere. Zé Pedro Goiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Arósio, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 18th minute, Genílson Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Ibicuituba's zone, Dedê de Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruy Carneiro came out of the goal and Dedê de Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zé Pedro Goiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Arósio, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Genílson Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Pedro Goiano having to interfere. If Jonathan Arósio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Genílson Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ruy Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Ceresso in the 36th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ibicuituba's zone, Jardel da Silveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruy Carneiro came out of the goal and Jardel da Silveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Antunes in the 42nd minute of play forced Alcatéia FC's goalkeeper Zé Pedro Goiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The excitement rose when Alcatéia FC's Luiz Eduardo Trevisan after 46 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Ibicuituba's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonathan Arósio to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Genílson Martins ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zé Pedro Goiano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. A collision led to Alcatéia FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Dedê de Amaral hit a great ball. Zé Pedro Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Arósio in the 75th minute of play. Ruy Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Eduardo Trevisan, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Dedê de Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy Carneiro having to interfere. When Júlio Ceresso came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Alcatéia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júlio Ceresso couldn't finish the play. In the 90th match minute, Ibicuituba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genílson Martins to maneuver through the defense. 92 minutes into the match, Vágner Pirani notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Alcatéia FC's Zé Pedro Goiano. Zé Pedro Goiano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alcatéia FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Gabriel Berger scored to the left of an out of position Zé Pedro Goiano, making the score, 1-3. The Alcatéia FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Ibicuituba to win.
