The audience thought a goal was coming when Jefferson Arantes got free with Fiori Duarte in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nicolas Eger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Orlando de Alcântara's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. With an all-out effort, Borrachos F.C.'s Fiori Duarte threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Germano Ribeiro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Germano Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fiori Duarte having to interfere. Clemente Varela struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Fiori Duarte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Borrachos F.C.. If Jefferson Arantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Borrachos F.C.'s goalkeeper Nicolas Eger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Amorim FC's Fiori Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Germano Ribeiro in the 51st minute of play. Jefferson Arantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Fiori Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 70 minutes, Cafu Moreno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Borrachos F.C. and the Amorim FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 70 played minutes Borrachos F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Cafu Moreno. After 72 played minutes Borrachos F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Clemente Varela. Amorim FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Orlando de Alcântara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolas Eger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Francisco Rodrigues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jefferson Arantes struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Fiori Duarte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Borrachos F.C.. When Borrachos F.C.'s Germano Ribeiro in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Amorim FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Amorim FC's zone, Jefferson Arantes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fiori Duarte came out of the goal and Jefferson Arantes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Amorim FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Borrachos F.C. from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
