Dona Denise's Joel Nascimento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Lira in the 2nd minute of play. Sandrinho Martins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cleiton Nogueira in the 4th minute of the match. Samuca Batista struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Sandrinho Martins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dona Denise. Samuca Batista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandrinho Martins having to interfere. Benjamin Lira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Joel Nascimento made a huge save. Joel Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedrinho Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Pedrinho Paiva took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Joel Nascimento to make any attempt to save it. Sandrinho Martins stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristóvão Lira's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Antônio Meirelles charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antônio Meirelles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Fausto Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Cristóvão Lira put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Sandrinho Martins. Fausto Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Sandrinho Martins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Pedrinho Paiva reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Joel Nascimento. The goal made the score 3-1. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pedrinho Paiva to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedrinho Bueno during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Fordlandia booed when Dona Denise was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrinho Bueno didn't get a good kick on the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Fausto Esteves notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Fordlandia's Sandrinho Martins. Sandrinho Martins was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 59 minutes into the game, Fordlandia's Gualter Esteves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joel Nascimento made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Cristóvão Lira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Fordlandia's Marcelinho Marinho got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 68th minute Antônio Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Kiko Cardozo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristóvão Lira in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sandrinho Martins, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Pedrinho Bueno kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fausto Esteves got free with Sandrinho Martins in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 81 minutes into the game, Eusébio Tavares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dona Denise's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fordlandia the free kick.
