After 13 played minutes Romao got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Quadros. Jano Saraiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juninho Pimenta in the 21st minute of play. Mick Schumacher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Jano Saraiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juninho Pimenta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jano Saraiva having to make a save. In the 31st minute of the match Betinho Galvão sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jano Saraiva skillfully saved the ball. Jano Saraiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mick Schumacher in the 32nd minute of the match. A collision led to Romao getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Mauro Bittencourt hit a great ball. With a little luck, Romao's Jano Saraiva got control of the ball when Vito Corleone tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 64 minutes, Juninho Pimenta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oliveira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juninho Pimenta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th minute Tiago Gabriel Terra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elder Moreno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juninho Pimenta couldn't finish the play. Juninho Pimenta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jano Saraiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. When the match was over Oliveira could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Romao throughout the match.
