After a rather tough play, Mangaratu AD's Vito Paraibano got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 83rd minute Maurício Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mangaratu AD's goalkeeper Reynaldo de Azevedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Aloísio Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Foxers Club had played much better football throughout.
