Mirassol FC's Fernando da Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilson Couto in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Patinhos AD's goal looked a bit too open when Moisés Ceresso came free, but Yuri Brodel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the game, Patinhos AD's Richard Campidelis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernando da Silva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Wilson Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. In the 30th minute Moisés Ceresso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuri Brodel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eliseu Neto got free with Fernando da Silva in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 41 minutes into the match, Tomé Cardozo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yuri Brodel. Patinhos AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomé Cardozo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Moisés Ceresso was the one to do the kick off. Patinhos AD's Richard Campidelis got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 56 minutes into the match, Patinhos AD's goal looked a bit too open when Moisés Ceresso came free, but Yuri Brodel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hugo Tande scored 2-2 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernando da Silva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilson Couto couldn't finish the play. Wilson Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando da Silva having to interfere. Moisés Ceresso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Yuri Brodel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patinhos AD's Yuri Brodel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Patinhos AD from getting a goal against them. Fernando da Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseu Neto in the 97th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Patinhos AD had won after a very even match.
